(SNAPP 5 [or “5NAPP” because it looks cool] is not a “best of” compilation, but more of a list of just five great games that have some kind of connection between them.)

It’s about that time everyone! You know I’ve gotta say it or it just won’t feel right. IT’S FRIDAY GLITCHES!!!! Time to get out the nipple clamps and the car battery and get this weekend started right!! If you don’t know what games to play, let us help you out with the Weekly SNAPP 5……

As usual, this isn’t a “Best Of” list. There were a ton of great games released this week. I just pick 5 games that you can’t really go wrong with playing. So, here’s this week’s SNAPP 5!

This one came out early this week. Part Time UFO is a game by the minds that created Earthbound, Super Smash Bros, and many others. It’s essentially a crane/claw type of game where you are picking up and putting down different types of objects. HALegg did a great job with this title. There’s a ton of variety and even more charm. It’s completely “premium” too. Definitely a must-have in my opinion.

Lichtspeer

Lichtspeer is weird one to describe. It’s kind of an 80’s themed spear throwing game. It’s been on just about every platform prior to this, but it feel completely at home on mobile. I haven’t been able to put this game down since I started playing. If you haven’t already played Lichtspeer on another platform, definitely pick it up on mobile. Its cheaper and just feels better in my opinion.

Evoland 2

This is another easy one for the list. Evoland 2 is the sequel to the classic game, Evoland (of course). It’s an adventure game where you play through just about every generation and genre in video game history…..Well, that’s exaggerating, but only a little. It’s pretty much a mashup or all your gaming memories into one game. Honestly, just get it.

Temple of Spikes: The Legend

Genre: Games, Arcade, Action

Price: $3.99
Version: 1.0.2

Another great premium indie game. Temple of Spikes: The Legend is a pixel art platformer with over 50 hours of gameplay. I will say that the game can be tough at times, but tough in a good way. There are 30 big levels, 25 characters to unlock, and a pretty witty storyline. It’s definitely worth picking up if you are into old-school platformers.

ChronoBlade

Genre: Games, Action
Language: English
Price: free
Version: 1.4.8

Artist: nWay Inc.

Ok, this one was a tough one deciding. I’m starting to grow tired of these F2P RPGs with so much extra shit in the menu that I end up deleting the game because it’s so confusing. ChronoBlade is pretty much the same thing. It’s not as bad as most F2P RPGs, but there’s still a lot of filler in here. It’s just that the game is so damn fun once you start playing! It looks beautiful too. This would have been perfect if it was a straightforward side scroller RPG without all the F2P fluff. But……….it’s just so damn fun to play!

Alright. That’s your SNAPP 5 of the week. There are of course, a bunch of other great games that you can check out in this week’s (80’s themed) SNAPP Roundup. (Psst! Holy Potatoes!)
