(The Weekly 5NAPP is a list of five great games that released this week. You can call it a “Best Of” list, but it’s more of just five new games that shouldn’t be missed.)
Well, the (typical) work week is just about over. It’s been awhile since I’ve said this, but IT’S FRIDAY GLITCHES!!!!!! Time to break out the KY Jelly and baby wipes and play some vidya gamez!!
It’s been a few weeks since I did the Weekly 5NAPP, but I’m happy to bring it back. We had a fairly quiet week on the App Store. No major triple A games to take all the attention away. We did end up with quite a few solid indie titles though. Here’s five games that shouldn’t be missed this weekend!!
Math and Sorcery is one of those games that I love to hate. It’s an RPG where you battle enemies using………wait for it……MATH! The only bad thing is that I suck at math. Especially when I’m under pressure. Regardless, the game is a lot of fun and is packed with over 100 levels. Even if you suck at math, it’s still worth checking out.
Soul of Ninja is a side scrolling action adventure game where you play as a ninja that seeking revenge on the bloody death of his village. The visuals are beautiful and the fighting is a lot of fun. There are four different fighting style to choose from with a fairly deep upgrading system. Definitely a good game for action fans.
Pocket City is a really solid premium city builder. It’s the closest thing to Sim City on mobile since the original Sim City Deluxe back in yesteryear of the App Store. There’s no timers, no IAPs, no multiple currencies. The game itself may be a bit basic, but for city building fans, this is a must have.
Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn is the newest game starring Shaquille O’Neil. This time around you play as a poor Chinese orphan named, Shaq Fei Hung and he’s out to save the world from the brink of disaster. The visuals are beautiful, the voice acting is actually pretty funny, and the fighting is down right fun. This game definitely redeems Shaq a little bit after Shaqdown.
Drifty is an arcade-y drifting game that actually surprised me. It has your usual high score chasing Endless Mode, but it also has a career mode with 50 levels. There’s 25 vehicles to unlock and a ton of customization options. Drifty is just a fun little casual game worth checking out.
Alright. That’s this week’s VERY prestigious SNAPP 5. (It’s pretty much equivalent to an Oscar or Grammy) You can check out the whole week’s new releases on the SNAPP Roundup. Have a great weekend everyone and keep on swiping!!!!
