(SNAPP 5 [or “5NAPP” because it looks cool] is not a “best of” compilation, but more of a list of just five great games that have some kind of connection between them.)

Well, we did it. We’ve made it through the work week. Yes, IT’S FRIDAY GLITCHES!! Time to break out the fuzzy handcuffs and KY Jelly and play us some vidya games!! What’s that?? You don’t know what to play this weekend?? How convenient! Let us help you out with the Weekly 5NAPP!!

We had a fairly decent week on the App Store. There might not have been a bunch of big games release, but there were plenty of smaller indie games that came out. Like I’ve said many times before, these aren’t necessarily the TOP 5 games that released this week, more than they are just 5 games that you can’t go wrong with downloading/buying.

So, without further delay, here’s the Weekly 5NAPP!!

I’ve just started playing Killing Time at Lightspeed, but it makes the list because of how much I’m already enjoying it. It’s a text-based game where you’re living aboard a spaceship traveling at lightspeed. It’s honestly hard to describe. You spend a lot of time watching people’s lives flash by on their social media due to moving as fast as the speed of light. I’m still figuring things out as I play, but it’s different and different is good sometimes.

I reviewed Golem Rage already this week, so I won’t spend too much time on this one. I’ll just say that it’s a solid “premium” runner/brawler with really good controls. Definitely worth picking up.

I’m kind of on the fence with MF Mobile Fantasy. It’s a fairly decent one-handed hack & slash RPG that nobody has heard of (except for SNAPPZILLA!). Yea, it’s a bit rough around the edges, but it’s fun. My biggest issue is that it’s a paid game, but feels like it could be F2P at any given time. It’s only a buck, so it’s still worth it in my opinion. (Heads up! The camera will make you a bit dizzy at times!)

Mean Machines Demolition Derby

Genre: Games, Action, Racing

Mean Machines Demolition Derby is a pretty fun “Robot Wars” style game with a ton of different styles of gameplay. You control robots in challenges like races, demolition derby, survival, battles, and more. The controls are really good and the visuals are decent when turned up. I’m still fairly early in this one too, but I’m digging it already.

Furious Heroes

Genre: Games, Entertainment, Arcade, Adventure
Language: English, Russian
Price: free
Version: 1.5.3

Furious Heroes is a really fun platformer/shooter where you play as a Viking (at first) seeking revenge. The controls are pretty smooth and the visuals are absolutely beautiful. There’s a ton of polish in this one. I’m really surprised it hasn’t gotten more attention. It’s definitely worth picking up though.

Alright. That’s about it for the Weekly 5NAPP. As always, you can check out these games and the rest of the week’s new releases in the SNAPP Roundup!

Have a great weekend everyone!
