(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really a full fledged game review as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know whether it’s worth your time/money or not.)
SphereKnight is an action/RPG-ish game where you play as a knight that possesses the mysterious powers known as the Cosmos Apostle….ln other words, your knight can turn into a ball during combat. Your job is to stop the incoming invasion of chaos. You do this by simply flicking your knight. A light flick will cause a light attack and a longer flick will cause a “dash”. Enemies can be beaten by just running into them. You can also level up your knight and craft different weapons to make him stronger. I will say that the controls are a bit clunky and take some time to get used to. It’s not a deal-breaker though. The story is fairly deep and there is a lot to collect and upgrade. SphereKnight may not be perfect, but it more than makes up for it in originality.
SphereKnight is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup.
