(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really a full fledged game review as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know whether it’s worth your time/money or not.)
SOS Defense claims to be the first physical tower defense game. Those are some bold claims! To be honest, it probably is because this game is pretty unique. It takes the mechanics of a standard tower defense game and mixes it with the dynamics of classic physics-based games. Its cool because it makes each wave unpredictable. There are 3 game modes and 45 different levels along with an endless mode. I’ve been having a lot of fun with this game so far. I will say that it’s a bit tough at first. I was already stuck on level 2 for a little while. But, once you get the hang of things, the game is a lot of fun to play. If you’re a fan of tower defense/physics-based games or if you’re looking for something unique, SOS Defense is definitely worth picking up. It’s honestly the poster child of what indie games are all about.
SOS Defense is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup.
