(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really a full-fledged iOS game review as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a mobile game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know whether it’s worth your time/money or not.)
Skyland Rush: Air Raid Attack is an adventure/shooter game where you play as a girl named Zenya as she is trying to save her native land of Skylandia from the forces of evil (yea, one of those stories). Throughout your journey, you’ll be faced up against bugsters, witches, robobirds, little devils, and all kinds of other enemies. The visuals are absolutely beautiful and seem to take a lot of inspiration of the Rayman games. That’s not a bad thing though. The controls can make or break the game for some. Although the controls work well, they are Flappy Bird-style controls where taping and holding the screen lifts the character, and releasing your finger lowers. It’s actually pretty good. It adds a bit of challenge to the game besides shooting. The game is F2P, so there’s the usual shenanigans, but no play-timers thankfully. Skyland Rush isn’t bringing anything new to the table, but sometimes playing it safe is a good thing.
Skyland Rush is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup!
