(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really a full fledged game review as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a certain game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know whether it’s worth your time/money or not.)
Rowan McPaddles is a really cute endless runner/rower where you take control of one of many different daredevils that are trying to outrun “Jawsh” the mega shark in the Bad Bad River. The reverse controls are actually done really well. You have full control of your character instead of the usual 3-lane mechanics in most runners. There’s of course, tons of unlockables like new characters and skins to keep you playing. With a genre that is completely flooded with good and bad endless runners, Monstronauts did an excellent job making this game stick out from the rest. It’s charming and a lot of fun to play. If you’re still a fan of endless runners, definitely give Rowan McPaddles a shot.
Rowan McPaddles is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup.
