(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really a full fledged game review as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a certain game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know whether it’s worth your time/money or not.)
Planet Sprint is a combat-style flying/racing game. I guess you could kind of put it in the Wipeout category if you so choose. The racing itself is pretty standard. You are put up against 7 other racers and……..hey, it’s a racing game! You know how these work! The first to the finish line wins! There are power-ups and weapons you can pick up during races to help you along the way. The controls are customizable, but a bit touchy with steering. I would have liked to see a reverse x/y axis option. I would have also liked to have seen the ability to upgrade your craft too. (The AI is brutal at times!) Regardless, Planet Sprint is still a beautiful looking low-poly racer with some fun to be had. If you’re in the mood for some high speed arcade racing, this one is worth checking out.
