(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really a full fledged game review as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a certain game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know whether it’s worth your time/money or not.)
I know there’s already been a ton of games that have released already this week, but I just wanted to give you a heads-up on a hidden little gem that released today on the App Store.
The game is called Infection. (by Canvas Soft) Don’t forget the period at the end of the title. It’s Infected.(period) Apparently that makes a difference on the App Store.
Infection. is a puzzle game at it’s core, but it controls like an action game. You play as a single zombie that has to infect an entire crowd of people. You infect one person by running into them, then the two of you infect two more, then four, then eight, and so on. Once you get the infection started, things go pretty fast.
That alone is actually fun in itself, but things start getting tricky once you have to start blocking doors, fire, and other obstructions so you can infect all of the humans. The object is to infect 100% of the people.
If you’re a fan of puzzle game, Infection. is definitely worth checking out. It’s a game that deserves more attention. Even if you’re not a fan of puzzlers, it’s still worth a look. Of course, you can check out Infected. and the rest of this week’s new games in the SNAPP Roundup.
