(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really a full fledged game review as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know whether it’s worth your time/money or not.)
Garbage Day is one of those games that you’ll love to hate. Technically it’s a basketball type of get where the object is to shoot different pieces of garbage into a garbage can. Controls are fairly simple with just tapping and holding the screen depending on how much power you want and releasing to shoot. What’s unique about this game is the penalties. Each level has different penalties. You could be on level 20 and miss the shot and have to go back to level 15 and start from there, miss that shot and get knocked back to the beginning. Sometimes the penalty could be being forced to watch a 30 second ad. It’s something that actually needs to be played to appreciate. Each piece of garbage reacts differently due to size and weight, so it’s tough to figure out a pattern. Garbage Day may not an amazing game at its core, but the penalties will have you loving to hate it.
Garbage Day is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup!!
