(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really a full-fledged iOS game review as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a mobile game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know whether it’s worth your time/money or not.)
4Pillars is a BRUTAL action/adventure game where you play as a knight that is trying to find out who he is and what exactly he’s done. The game is based on 4 pillars. Darkness, light, spirit, and fear. Each level, you’ll be faced with deadly traps, swinging blades, pissed off ogres, and a ton more. The visuals are beautifully dark voxel art. The controls do their job. I feel like the jumping can be a bit “floaty”. I will say that the game is tough as nails. It’s been taking me several tries to pass each level. I also wish there was some sort of progression system or different weapons to purchase. Things may be a little rough around the edges, but 4Pillars is a great little hidden indie gem just waiting to be played.
4Pillars is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup!!
