(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really a full fledged game review as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know whether it’s worth your time/money or not.)
Luca: The Dreamer is an absolutely beautiful looking puzzle/platformer about a soccer ball……I mean “football” called Luca that was used by the kids in the suburbs of Rio de Janeiro. After seeing images of the World Cup on tv, he decided he was going to travel across the world to make it to the World Cup Finals. You control Luca while traveling through famous cities and landscapes. So far, I’ve been really enjoying Luca. The level design and visuals are stunning. There are some puzzle elements and coin collecting in the game. You’ll need to collect enough coins in order to make it to the next country. You’ll also learn new abilities throughout your travels. There’s not a whole lot else to the game. No random loot drops. No advertisements. No timers or IAPs. Luca: The Dreamer is a just sold premium platformer that every fan of the genre should be playing right now.
