(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really a full-fledged iOS game review as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a mobile game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know whether or not it’s worth your time/money.)
Fury Survivor: Pixel Z is a pixel art action/adventure/survival game (by LT Games) that came out of nowhere for me! Sure, I had the game pre-ordered, but that was just looking at the screenshots. The game is a mixture of just about every zombie genre out there. The story is that the “Z-Virus” has leaked and most of humanity has been infected. You play as a lone survivor looking for his family, not knowing if they are infected or now. There is so much to cram into one paragraph. First off, the pixel art is absolutely beautiful, the story is decent and has full voice work, the controls aren’t perfect, but work well enough with a v-stick and buttons. You’ll need to scavenge for food and water in order to stay alive. There’s also vehicles to drive, crafting, farming, and a whole lot more. The game is F2Pof course, but I haven’t come across any timers or currency issues. There’s a few different IAPs for gold though. Fury Survivor: Pixel Z may not be perfect. There’s a lot of things going on and things can get a bit “busy” on the screen, regardless it’s a hell of a lot of fun. If you’re a fan of action, adventure, survival, crafting, farming, or RPG games, Fury Survivor: Pixel Z is definitely worth checking out!
