(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really a full-fledged iOS game review as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a mobile game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know whether or not it’s worth your time/money.)
Now, I haven’t actually went fishing in real life since I was a kid, but for some reason, I love fishing games. So, I was excited when I ran across this one on the App Store.
Fishing and Life is a simple side-scrolling fishing game by Nexelon. You play as a normal guy that is tired of his everyday life. He ends up getting fired and decides to spend his life fishing. I absolutely love the minimalist look of this game. Everything is simple, but has a bit of depth to it. Casting and hooking is just a tap of a button. You can also use your boat to travel to different places. Of course, everything is upgradable. For your rod, to your boat, even new characters, all can be upgraded. The game has an ASMR vibe to it, so everything feels really……peaceful? I will say that things may be a bit grindy for some. There’s a lot of catching/selling/upgrading. That’s kind of how these games are though. The game is a little heavy on ads too. (Watching for rewards) Regardless, Fishing and Life is one of the better fishing games I’ve played in a long time. If you’re a fan of the genre, definitely check this one out!
Fishing and Life is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup!!
