(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really a full-fledged iOS game review as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a mobile game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know whether or not it’s worth your time/money.)
I’m always happy when I see a new game by indie developer, Daigo Sato. He puts out smaller games with strong storylines and always seems to impress me. His recent release is no exception. Fishing Paradiso is somewhat of a sequel to Bear’s Restaurant. Your character has died and gone to heaven, but in order to make it to “true” heaven, you’ll need to do a little bit of fishing! Sounds weird, but it all works. The fishing is as simple as aiming your rod and tapping the cast button at the right time. Once a fish is hooked, you’ll just press and hold the same button to reel it in. There are over 100 different fish to collect and can use the money from catching fish for upgrades. You’ll be greeted with several different characters that’ll give you quests to make more money if your short on cash. There’s quite a bit packed into this little 72 MB gem. You can even decorate your little villa once you get one! If you’re a fan of quirky little pixel art games with a good story, definitely give Fishing Paradiso a try.
