(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really a full-fledged iOS game review as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a mobile game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know whether or not it’s worth your time/money.)
Lunar Rescue Mission is a sci-fi lunar lander physics simulator by the indie team at Top Secret Developments. You play as a rescue team that’s out to find the last survivors from the doomed Jupiter Moons. The game will have you flying and driving 8 different space vehicles in low gravity. Fans of the old Lunar Lander games with really appreciate LRM. The whole game has an eerie atmosphere along with a decent storyline. The physics are done really well and the controls are easy to use. I will say that Lunar Rescue Mission won’t be for everyone. You’ll definitely need a lot of patience. The game is slow, tedious, and unforgiving at times. That’s not necessarily a bad thing though. I’ve been having a lot of fun with this game. I love Lunar Lander-style games and this one definitely takes things up a notch. For $1.99, you get 18 VERY long levels and a “Sandbox Mode” to kind of mess around with everything. If you’re a fan of these kinds of games, Lunar Rescue Mission is definitely worth picking up!
Lunar Rescue Mission is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup!
