(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really a full-fledged iOS game review as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a mobile game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know whether or not it’s worth your time/money.)
Life is a Game: The Life Story is a unique, yet odd runner/life simulation game by 56byte/Daeri Soft. So, you take control of a person’s life from cradle to grave. This all happens in a single run. The length of the run is determined by the choices you make and some luck. The game plays like a side scrolling auto-runner. You have a jump button and a “choice” button. There are also some special moves that you can use later on in your “life”. During your run, you’ll need to control your happiness, health, and relationships with people. These can be changed by making the right choices. You choose to play sports in high school? Then make sure to collect soccer balls during your run. You like music? Then skip over the sports stuff and collect music notes. Of course, there’s things like cigarettes that you’ll want to dodge to live a longer life and you’re always greeted with different incidents that you’ll need to choose to do or skip. It’s always interesting to see how your life turns out each run. My first try, my guy killed himself pretty early in life due to loneliness. My second run, I got married and had kids, but ended up dying alone in a cardboard box. Life is a Game is t perfect and there’s quite a bit locked behind the premium currency, but it’s taking a chance in being different. And I always applaud thinking outside the box.
Life is a Game is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup!!
