(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really a full-fledged iOS game review as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a mobile game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know whether it’s worth your time/money or not.)
Microbian is a dark and gritty platformer/runner by Victor Garcia of D.E.P. Games. You play as a spider and must do anything in order to survive. This means dodging, evading, eating, jumping, and even changing gravity. Your spider auto-runs, so you’ll need quick reflexes in order to get anywhere. You’ll be faced with spikes, traps, monsters, and a few surprises throw at you. You can slow down or speed up your spider by eating eggs. (I think they are eggs at least.) Black ones slow your spider down, while white ones speed you up. Personally, I was constantly looking for the black eggs so I could have a chance. Microbian is an absolutely beautiful runner. The levels are randomly generated and the controls work really well. If you’re a fan of runners and want something unique, Microbian is definitely worth picking up. You can unlock the full game for $1.99.
Microbian is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup!
