(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really a full-fledged iOS game review as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a mobile game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know whether it’s worth your time/money or not.)
The Coma: Cutting Class is a Korean survival-horror game where you play as a school kid named Youngho that has fallen asleep during exams and wakes up in an absolute nightmare. You are all alone in school and you need to find out what the hell is going on and how to escape. I will say that the game is actually pretty scary at times! Especially if you’re wearing headphones. It almost feels like a side-scrolling Resident Evil at times where your resources are limited to only what you can carry in your bag. You spend a lot of time running and hiding from things. You can evade attacks, but I don’t recommend getting that close to the enemy. The story is pretty well written and the the hand drawn visuals are beautiful. I’ve been having a lot of fun with The Coma so far. There’s a bit more dialogue than I was expecting, but it’s not a bad thing at all. If you like jump scares, creepy atmospheres, and some mild reading, The Coma: Cutting Class is definitely worth the price!
The Coma: Cutting Class is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup!!
