(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really a full-fledged iOS game review as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a mobile game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know whether it’s worth your time/money or not.)

Planet Hunter is a 3D top-down shooter where you play as a “lone wolf” soldier that’s just trying to survive while waiting to get picked up by a spaceship. You are faced against constant waves of different bug-like alien creatures on 3 different planets. During each run, you can collect “stars” and use them to upgrade your weapons, HP, and power-ups. Unfortunately, each upgrade comes with a timer. (Luckily, you can spend a few extra stars to bypass the timer.) I’ll be honest and say that Planet Hunter isn’t the best shooter on the market. But, I still feel that the developer did a great job with the game he has created. The controls work well and the visuals aren’t too bad. Planet Hunter is a decent little title that’s worth your attention.
