(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really a full-fledged iOS game review as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a mobile game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know whether it’s worth your time/money or not.)

Fumble Fang is a roguelike platformer by Fire Giant Entertainment where you play as a clumsy vampire bat that’s trying to escape the sun before morning starts. Controls are as simple as tapping the left side of the screen to flap your left wing and right side of the screen for your right wing. Tap both sides and you move straight up. Each level has you traveling downward while navigating through hazardous obstacles to get to your coffin. Hitting anything sharp or getting caught in traps will cause you damage. This damage carries over to all other levels. You can collect coins throughout each area and “heal” yourself in between levels, or you can grind and use your coins to upgrade your bat or even buy a new one with different abilities. Because once you die, that’s it, you start over. Fumble Fang is actually a pretty fun game that hasn’t seen any attention yet. It’s charming, highly polished, and definitely worth a look.
