(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really a full-fledged iOS game review as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a mobile game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know whether it’s worth your time/money or not.)
Well, I haven’t seen any nominations for a new SNAPP Challenge this week on social media or Discord, so I figured I’d throw a game out there….
Goblin Hunter is a reaction-based hunting game where the object is to travel through an endless dungeon while trying to kill goblins. The game itself is one of those “easy to play, hard to master” games where you have to tap the screen at the right time in order to hit the enemy. Each goblin you’re faced up against moves at different speeds and from different distances. So, it’s hard to find that “sweet spot” on when to tap the screen. You can earn coins to unlock different weapons, but they seem to just be only cosmetic from your experience. The low-poly visuals look pretty good on every device I’ve played it on. And for those of you that think it’s a big deal (I’m looking at you AKD), Goblin Hunter does have GameCenter. GH may not that that many bells and whistles, but it’s a solid high score chaser and worth a nomination for this week’s SNAPP Challenge.
