(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really a full-fledged iOS game review as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a mobile game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know whether it’s worth your time/money or not.)
Rotostellar is vector-style endless escape game by developer, Zero Page. This is one of those games that are really tough to explain. So, there’s a black hole constantly trying to pull your ship into the deep void. To escape, you need to rotate the universe in order to line up the “Rings of Time”. Once lined up, your ship warps to the next ring in the universe. While this is going on, you’ll be faced with enemies and obstructions that you’ll need to shoot down. It takes a couple minutes to get the hang of things, but once you do, the game can be a lot of stressful fun. As you play, you can unlock different modes des and color schemes. You can also create and share your own levels. Rotostellar is a love letter to games of the past and a really unique take on the endless genre.
Rotostellar is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup!!
