(SNAPP Reviews aren’t really a full fledged game review as much as they are just a way for us to give you a quick “heads-up” on whether a game is good or not. It usually means that we haven’t finished the game yet, but have played a good enough chunk to know whether it’s worth your time/money or not.)
Soul of Ninja is a 2D action/adventure ninja game by Mindgo Limited. You play as Karldia, the leader of Ninja Village and he is out to find the people behind the mysterious organization that bludgeoned his village. The story is a bit tough to follow at times due to some of it being lost in translation. It’s not enough to turn anyone away though. The v-stick and button controls are a bit small, but work well. The game itself is a pretty solid fighting/platformer with beautiful visuals. You can learn new skills, buy and upgrade armor/weapons, and even choose your own fighting style. Soul of Ninja is F2P, so of course there’s the whole dual currency and random loot thing. If you can get past that, Soul of Ninja is a really solid side scroller.
Soul of Ninja is also in this week’s SNAPP Roundup.
